MA in Art and Design (Thesis/English)

Today, art and design practices have evolved into an interdisciplinary field where diverse disciplines converge, utilizing their distinct characteristics to engender more contemporary and innovative expressions within the artwork. Rather than confining itself to isolated disciplines, this multidisciplinary approach entails specializing in a specific subject within the broader context of ‘Art and Design’ while drawing conceptual nourishment from allied disciplines. In this context, our program offers students an advanced education in both theoretical and practical domains through a comprehensive curriculum enriched by various art and design disciplines. Furthermore, to contribute to the academic literature, the program aims to equip students with diverse research methodologies, enabling them to produce scholarly written works in their respective fields. To successfully complete the Master’s program, students are required to author a thesis in English on a selected topic within the field of Art and Design, and to present a practical applied artwork aligned with their research.

Candidates applying for the program with an English thesis must obtain a minimum score of 65 from the YDS; however, an ALES score is not required. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from any undergraduate program.
